A crazy season!

Those of you who have noticed that blogs posts have been thin lately, I do apologize!  It appears that Holly and I are in a season that is rocking our face off.  With Holly being 9 months pregnant and 2 energetic and explosive boys under 4, we are enduring the best 30 day cardio workout on the face of the planet.  We have never been so challenged to examine our time management as every second is crucial to productivity.  So as she drops me off at one store with one child and she goes to the next store with the other child we try to remind ourselves that this is but a season!

I knew this was worth a blog entry when Holly actually had our errand running mapped out the other night in a methodical way too assure the best achieved time.  She at one point told me "let's go to this store first because we will be able to turn right into this one and then there will be one less left hand turn signal to wait through as we go to the second store and we will be closer to the third store if we do that store second."  If that was hard to follow - it was for me too!  Should errand running be that crazy?  Are our lives too busy?  What about yours?  Are there things in our lives that are drowning out all our discretionary time to spend one on one with the Lord?  Any thoughts?

Wow, thanks SO Much for sharing that Pastor Chris. It's such amazing "timing" for me. Time is such a small word with such a BIG meaning. For me, I've had a bunch of "re-evaluating" to do...as well as questions that i needed to ask myself lately. Was I truly managing my time, was I prioritizing as the Lord teaches us. Well, you know - God sure did speak very loudly and I'm so grateful that I slowed down enough to hear him. As leaders (if you're a believer, you're a leader)it sometimes means that we have to walk away from things that may "seem" important for that moment....But thankfully, God carries us through and shows us that it's not about "common" sense, but God-Sense!!

Clara and I plan out our visits to the grocery store by isles, "let's start here, get this and that and we'll meet up there". Time is never abundant when we are living out our potential, some seasonal times are more challenging than others. Hang in there, take time to pray, that always makes me feel better, even if I end up doing it at 2am.

Babe, it is a crazy season, but we're having a blast and I wouldn't change it for the world (except maybe I would have made the boys to have a little less energy!).
