Concert last week!

Wednesday, July 16, 2008 - Chris Brown

Many of you who could not make it on Friday night have asked how the Michael English Concert was on Friday night and all I can say is that YOU MISSED OUT! I heard the most powerful voice I have ever heard in my entire life and I heard a God-story that very well could be unmatched; a story of redemption, mercy, grace, and restoration! The atmosphere was electric and the intimate group was explosive with applause as God was glorified through a man who was willing to publicly get naked, transparent, and vulnerable. The whole room was filled with tears and the Holy Spirit moved as we all were touched by this rare example of authenticity. As we continue in this series entitled mynakedchurch.com, may we continue to be burdened for more genuineness, more realness, and more sincerity. God will bless us as we tell those that are looking in that we are not perfect but we are striving to be more like Him! Isn't it amazing that we had such an incredible event right there on our campus? How did God speak to you through this powerful concert?

Thanks so much for bringing Michael English to South Florida. I do not have the words to express the thrill my friends and I received just being able to hear his vibrant testimony and listen to his music. The finale with Marc was so moving. My whole small group attended and are so grateful for all the work that you guys put into this concert.

I had been recuperating from a full hip replacement and my friend and I wanted to spend some time together. She said that if I wanted to I could invite my husband. That was the plan, but as God would have it his way, my friend called and said that she couldn't make it because she realized that she had to work. So my husband and I were on our own, we decided we'd go. I bought my tickets online and we were off. Well, your volunteers were so awesome and gracious to me, I'd like to thank anyone who reads this and remembers the women with to much cleavage, (my husband gave me permission, until we got there and both realized, oops!) and a walker. The will call did not have my tickets and the woman had two tickets from a couple who couldn't make it. Another woman brought me water to take my pills! Then the concert started, we were blown away! What an awesome man, and his story was my husband's story and the blessing that my friend, Heidi gave us was a blessing that will not be forgotten for a long time. My husband and I go to Church by the Glades and we told some of our friends what a blessing that evening was. Thank you for an awesome evening in every aspect and for bringing these wonderful Christian artists to enjoy.
