- Chris Brown

The campus is looking sharp and running like a well-oiled machine and it is do to the Lord working in and through normal, ordinary, everyday people to do extraordinary things. God is good and He wants to use us if we make ourselves available to be used. Today we as a campus want to thank Michael Van Sertima, William Silvio, Alex Ramirez, Nicholis Washburn, and Dave Barcy for their work on our South wing. These men have shown a tremendous amount of selflessness over the last few weeks and that includes them giving up their Wednesday night this week to come paint and move heavy furniture.
Thank you Dave Barcy for your leadership in the painting and for your further sacrifice on Thursday as you came back to finish the job by yourself. It has been an honor to watch you and Renee grow in the Lord at Flamingo Road - Hallandale over the last few months. May the Lord bless you for your selflessness and obedience to be called out for His sake.
So what made these guys do what they did? What makes our volunteers do what they do on Sunday mornings? Is it because they have a great relationship with campus leadership? Is it because they get a great benefit package with their salary? Is it because they like getting up at 6:30 on their day off? No, our volunteers do what they do because they are addicted to being part of other people experiencing life change! Volunteers are not volunteers at all but actually "connectors". Every week, through serving our volunteers act as "connectors", connecting our guests to the current of Christ through the expression of Christ's love, and through a variety of tasks that come together to create an environment conducive to life change. So to Dave and all the volunteers at Hallandale - thanks for being addicted with me- thanks for sharing the vision - thanks for living your lives with a purpose!
