Let's Hang in 09!

Hey Everybody,
For Steph and I, the blog has been a really cool gift in that it allows us to hang with you beyond the weekend. Here on our blog, we love talking about family, church & life. We especially love keeping the conversation going through your comments. This year, let's really hang out here. Blogging and twittering are very easy tools to join.

  • Twitter is a scrolling log of a person's daily doings. To follow us on Twitter, click HERE to sign up for Steph; HERE to sign up for me. (you'll need your own free account)
  • "Leaving a comment" is simply typing your thoughts to something we wrote in a box and having it publicly "post." All you have to do is at the end of each post, click on the word "Comments." Type in your comment, sign your name, choose an identity, then click "Publish Your Comment."
Give it a shot, right now. Leave a comment for ONE thing you're praying for in 2009.

this is the year that I need miracles.... so I am praying for them because I know they are not easy.... I also know that God is the God of miracles.

I am praying that God will stretch me further this year and expose more of what HE has put inside me. I am still in shock how far we can push ourselves......for the longest time nobody thought running a mile under 4 minutes could happen right......until someone worked harder! Thanks for teaching me that Pastor Troy. Chris

I am praying that I can find a second job. The reason I am looking for a second job right now is because my full-time job is not giving raises this year due to the economy. Don't get me wrong I feel very blessed to even have a job. I am looking to make extra money in order to save money and get by.

Praying that God will use the abilities He has blessed me with to make an impact at FRC not only in 2009 but for years to come. To not let the passion in my heart, no matter how slight, diminish. To know that everyday is an opportunity to ask yourself, "Is this the best I can do?". When your mind tells you yes, ask yourself again.

Hello, Pastor Troy & Steph!

This year I pray for contentment in God's provision for my earthly existence (relational, career, financial, etc.), but spiritual hunger (for time with Him, for His Word, for worship, ministry, etc.).

I pray that God continues to bless me abundantly. 2008 was an awesome year and God never stops showing me things. Good or bad and no matter how challenging, I have been able to overcome and although I don't always make the right decisions at times, I understand that I have no control and God has it all in control for all of us. What I have learned is that I have great potential but the reason that I have this potential is because I have put all of my faith in the one and only Jesus Christ. 2009 will be awesome!!!

I want to journal differently. I am praying that God helps me to ask questions rather than leave statements. One leads to opportunity the other inhibits movement.

I am praying for all the children in my family. That just ONE would be saved and cause an avalanche-dominoe affect on all the others. 4 Kids, 4 grandkids, 5 Nephews, 1 great nephew and one niece. ...As for me and my household, we shall serve the Lord. Josh. 24:15 And of course, personal growth! I have so much growing to do and I want to go higher in the Lord. I want to know how to hear His voice (for sure w/no doubts).
